Chattanooga police responded to a bomb threat today at Memorial North Park Hospital after a woman called 911 and said a bomb was on the second floor, officials said.
According to police spokeswoman Officer Rebecca Royval, police and fire personnel arrived after hospital administrators decided to lock down the facility and treat the bomb threat as real.
A Chattanooga police K-9 bomb dog scoured the hospital but found no evidence of a bomb, Officer Royval said. The hospital now is back to normal operations, she said.
Chattanooga Fire Department workers are continuing to investigate the bomb threat.
