Now touring with the release of his new folk album “Cash Cabin Sessions, Vol. 3,” you can catch him live at the Walker Theatre on Saturday 6/22.Asheville, N.C., bluegrass quintet Town Mountain will visit Songbirds Guitar Museum on Thursday 6/27, and they are bringing legendary bluegrass banjoist Rev. Jeff Mosier along for the fun.

Celebrating its 32nd season, the Nightfall Concert Series has returned once again, and this year it is bigger and better than ever. If you missed making it out in May, you still have three months left. But don’t wait too long, because Nightfall organizers have given the public even more reasons to attend the free series this year.

They are still using the stage in Miller Plaza for the diverse lineup of music they bring to town, but the recent renovation to Miller Park has opened up space for more things, such as art vendors and kids activities, making each Friday more of a reason to get out and enjoy the Scenic City’s beautiful downtown.

The talent has been great so far, and June will be no different. This month, Chattanooga’s own The Fridge will headline on Friday, June 14, their prize for winning the local Road to Nightfall competition back in March. With Danimal Planet opening the night, this will be a great chance to see some of Chattanooga’s most talented musicians. Also in June, Jessy Wilson will make her solo debut in the Scenic City when she takes the Nightfall stage on Friday, June 21.

Wilson, a Brooklyn native, performed here a few times in the past with her former group, Muddy Magnolias. Though they had a promising future, the group unfortunately split in 2017. Soon after, Wilson began working on her solo career.

From performing as a backup singer for 15-time Grammy winner Alicia Keys, to moving to Nashville and touring with Muddy Magnolias, Wilson has taken parts from her past experience and put them together in a style of music that fits her best. Where Muddy Magnolias leaned a little more to the rock ‘n roll side, it was always Wilson’s soulful vocals that shined for the group, so it only makes sense that her debut album takes more of a soul approach. This is evident in her brand-new solo album, “Phase.”

The album was just released in early May, so her June performance at Nightfall is a great opportunity to catch her solo show early, before her fame begins to rise again in the music industry.
