Walker County district gets nearly $1,000 from Fries for School Supplies initiative

Local McDonald’s owner-operator Jim Aaron, as a result of the recent Fries for School Supplies initiative, donated $981.39 to the Walker County School District last week.

All proceeds from a la carte fry sales during one week at local McDonald’s restaurants were donated to local schools, including Walker County Schools.

This year’s Fries for School Supplies initiative raised more than $84,000 for local schools across the Tennessee Valley region. The funds will help local schools and teachers purchase necessary classroom supplies.
