Pastor Bo: Answering Bible questions from readers

Pastor Bo Wagner
Pastor Bo Wagner

In the column two weeks ago, I offered to answer Bible questions emailed to me by the readers of this column and promised to send a signed copy of my new book, “Getting To Know The Real Jesus, the Life of Christ, Volume One” to anyone I answered in the column itself.

I have enjoyed reading and answering the questions that have been sent in, and will answer two of them now for everyone. The first is from Steve, from Chattanooga.

“Pastor Bo, I have a question for you related to 2 Corinthians 4:10-11. What does Paul mean that we are ‘always bearing in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus,’ and in verse 11 when he states that we are ‘always delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake?’ His response in both cases is 1) this ‘death’ results in the life of Jesus being manifested in our bodies, and 2) in verse 11 is repeated by stating Jesus is then ‘made manifest in our mortal flesh.’ There is obviously a great blessing of understanding to be gained here, but somehow is challenging to grasp.

“Can you shed some light on these verses, please?”

Steve, absolutely, and thanks for writing.
