Weekend winners

Kalen DeBoer. We have way more on this in a moment, but make no mistake, the Tide stood tall in the biggest game of the year in September. Of week 5.

Sam Darnold. If the season ended Tuesday — and why are we having so many Monday night doubleheaders? — Darnold is your MVP, right?

Shohei Ohtani. Dude finished with 54 homers and 59 steals. He was worth every penny of the $700 million the Dodgers gave him (deferred) and we have not even discussed the fact that he may be getting his arms loose for the postseason. Forget #GOAT. He’s truly #Unicorn.
