The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga is one of 22 wrestling programs that will compete this weekend in the Southern Scuffle.

The individual-based, bracketed tournament starts at 9 a.m. Saturday at UTC’s McKenzie Arena, with the finals set for 3 p.m. Sunday.

“This is still a premier tournament,” Mocs coach Kyle Ruschell said in a UTC release. “If you go out there and do well, you’re on people’s radars. It’ll set you up in the rankings or set yourself up to be in that RPI later in the season.

“For the tournament itself, it’s great to see our administration, alumni and community come back, give back and watch some great wrestling. Some people have been here for the whole 15 years that we’ve had it and are still giving back by running tables, helping in the hospitality room and such. It just goes to show the community that Chattanooga has.”

Here are three things to know about the Mocs program heading into the event.
