The Chattanooga Motorcar Festival is going on hiatus for a year with plans to return in 2026.
Organizers cited as a reason “continuing restructuring and expansion of the Chattanooga community,” according to a news release. They also pointed to the festival’s “ongoing reevaluation of the dynamic family-friendly activities it can offer.”
The festival’s inaugural event was in 2019. It has grown to include an on-track competition, concerts, automobile displays and a Concours d’Elegance, during which prestigious vehicles are displayed and judged, that attracts entries from around the country.

In a news release, event founder Byron DeFoor said he’s proud of what organizers have accomplished in six years. They have been able to raise funds for a number of local charities, including the NeuroScience Innovation Foundation. The foundation supports research on strokes and Alzheimer’s disease.
