For the foreseeable future on the football field, the Tyner Rams will have to continue to be road warriors.

A third straight week on the road, a third straight win for the Ram Train, with the latest coming Friday night as they held on for a 21-20 victory Red Bank, which dropped to 0-2.

“This is kind of all we’ve known for the last two years, going into three,” Rams head coach Christian Mainor said of playing on the road as the school and its athletic facilities have been rebuilt. “Just proud of their resilience, proud of their effort.”

Quarterback Tyler Anderson showed off his arm on the opening drive for the Rams — who are ranked fifth in TSSAA Class 3A — with a 15-yard touchdown pass into the hands of Dion Edwards to build a 7-0 lead.
