Chattanooga Prep senior Reid Conley has confidence every time he steps on the basketball court.

He earned that comfort with hard work on his offensive skills behind the scenes, but the results have been on display for all to see on game night.

The 6-foot-4 shooting guard produced his ninth scoring performance of at least 25 points this season to lead the top-ranked Sentinels to a 64-47 victory over second-ranked Tellico Plains in the TSSAA Region 2-2A championship game Thursday night at Tyner.

Conley’s fourth 3-pointer in the packed gymnasium rolled around the rim and in as a result of his soft touch, with that basket the answer to a 3 by the Bears and building a 55-48 lead for Chatt Prep midway through the fourth quarter.

Sentinels coach Christian Collins also marveled at an acrobatic layup by Conley late to build the lead to eight with less than two minutes to play.
