East Ridge has hired a new city manager — Brian Koral.

Koral’s appointment was approved at the East Ridge City Council meeting Thursday, according to a press release from the city.

Koral hails most recently from Riverside, Missouri, where he served as city administrator from 2018 to 2026. He has toggled back and forth between Tennessee and Missouri in his career in city government leadership, beginning his career in Sedalia, Missouri, before moving to Atoka, Tennessee, then back to Riverside, Missouri, according to the press release.

Koral, with his wife and two children, will relocate to East Ridge and is set to start the job in May.

“I am excited for the appointment of Brian Koral as our next city manager. Mr. Koral brings a strong record of local government leadership, operational excellence and community-focused service,” East Ridge Mayor Brian Williams said in a statement. “His experience and collaborative approach position him well to lead the city forward, strengthen public services and support continued growth and opportunity for our residents and businesses.”
