Officials say two people wanted in an attack in Georgia have been captured in Gadsden and are being held at the Etowah County Jail.
Capt. Regina May of the Gadsden Police Department said 20-year-old Xaia Wallace and 23-year-old Frederick Brown were arrested early Saturday at Gadsden Inn and Suites in connection with an attack on 44-year-old Terrance Ryals, who was taken to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga for treatment.
The Etowah County sheriff’s office said Monday the suspects are awaiting extradition to Georgia.
The two are suspected in an attack last week on a man in Epworth, near the Tennessee state line.
Fannin County sheriff’s officers said the two face charges including aggravated assault and arson.
