CLEVELAND, Tenn.-Some “thing” about reading was going on Saturday at Cleveland State Community College.
Actually, both Thing One and Thing Two, a cat in a hat and a guy named Grinch were all part of the annual Dr. Seuss birthday party in Cleveland State’s library.
The event regularly attracts hundreds of kids and Saturday was no exception. The line began to form about 30 minutes before the doors opened, even with rain drizzling down.
Once inside, kids and the grownups who read to them got free Dr. Seuss books, compliments of the Cleveland Kiwanis Club. The club had 780 books stacked for giving away.
But that wasn’t all.
