Atlanta getting Internet speeds twice as fast as Chattanooga

Fiber optics

If Chattanooga is gig city, Atlanta’s about to become 2 gig city.

Comcast is giving A-Town the fastest Internet in the country. It says its new Gigabit Pro service will be up to 2 gigabits per second, twice as fast as what EPB offers in Chattanooga.

Comcast plans to accomplish this by feeding its fiber network directly into customers’ homes.

The service will be available starting next month. Pricing has not yet been announced.
