University of Tennessee at Chattanooga receivers coach Will Healy has been named the new head football coach at Austin Peay.
The 30-year old Healy spent the previous seven seasons as an assistant at UTC, taking over as the passing game coordinator this past season. He was also the Mocs recruiting coordinator.
A two-time all-state quarterback at Boyd-Buchanan, Healy went to Richmond and was a member of the Spiders' 2008 national championship team. He followed then-Richmond defensive coordinator Russ Huesman to UTC and coached the quarterbacks his first season with the Mocs, helping B.J. Coleman with his initial transition from the University of Tennessee to the Football Championship Subdivision level.
