Bradley County authorities have arrested a Carter Road man after a local woman was mauled Monday by his three pit bulls.

Billy Rogers, 28, is charged with three counts of "dog at-large with serious bodily harm" in connection with an attack Monday that left Catherine Ann Riddle with injuries to her arms, legs, shoulder and torso, according to a statement released by Bradley County Sheriff Eric Watson.

Riddle, of Cedar Springs Road, was attacked in the Carter Road area. She was treated for her injuries at Erlanger hospital in Chattanooga.

The three dogs aggressively approached a witness to the attack but didn't attack when she produced a baseball bat to fend off the dogs, officials said.

The dogs were placed in quarantine by the SPCA of Bradley County.

Rogers is being held on a $15,000 bond, officials said.
