One man was arrested and another shot and killed by a private citizen in Bradley County after a Meigs County Sheriff's Office vehicle pursuit entered Hamilton and Bradley counties this afternoon.

Meigs County authorities were in pursuit of a vehicle when it crossed into Hamilton County. Hamilton County deputies joined the pursuit and the vehicle eventually entered Bradley County near Bancroft Road.

A Hamilton County patrol unit was damaged when the deputy managed to stop the suspect vehicle. The deputy did not sustain any serious injuries.

Two suspects were in the vehicle, Daniel Warren, 32, and Jeremy L. Headley, 24. Warren was arrested but Headley fled on foot.

One suspect was later shot and killed by a private citizen carrying a gun at Santek Waste Services, according to James Bradford with the Bradley County Sheriff's Office. Bradford would not confirm the identity of the man who was shot and killed, but he did confirm it was one of the suspects in the car. Warren was arrested before the shooting took place.

Warren has been charged with felony reckless endangerment by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, has outstanding charges in Meigs County and possibly Bradley County as well. Warren also has a warrant for desertion from the Armed Forces.
