The Tennessee Army National Guard says it's prepared to respond to Hurricane Harvey if called, and has been planning for a potential response.
Earlier Tuesday, Nicholas Atwood, deputy joint public affairs director, told USA TODAY Network - Tennessee that the state National Guard unit had been examining a potential response "on paper" but were not moving forward until necessary.
By Tuesday afternoon, that planning had been finished.
