Chattanooga Red Wolves Soccer Club captain Steven Beattie was named Tuesday the USL League One player of the week for the second time this season.
Beattie’s hat trick led a 3-2 home victory over the Greenville Triumph on Saturday night.
In the first half the Irish forward netted an Ami Pineda corner kick and raced into the left side of the box to score a tightly contested goal. In the 76th minute his decisive third goal came right to him.
From a deflected Chattanooga shot off a Ualefi header, Beattie scissor-kicked the ball from the top right of the 6-yard box into the back left of the goal.
Beattie has six goals in the Red Wolves’ inaugural season, one short of the league lead. He previously was player of the week for a two-goal performance in the Week 4 win over league-leading South Georgia Tormenta at David Stanton Field.
