Two Chattanooga area restaurants received low scores this week after Chattanooga-Hamilton County Health Department inspections.

Broad Street Grille in The Chattanoogan at 1201 S. Broad St. received a score of 76 after an inspection found employees without food safety certificates and multiple priority violations, a condenser leaking on plastic-wrapped food in the main walk-in-cooler, sliced deli meats not date marked in the meat and dairy walk-in-cooler and the stacking of cleaned equipment while still wet.

Western Sizzlin' at 6021 Relocation Way was dinged with a score of 82 after an inspection discovered employees unaware of the employee illness policy, some time and temperature control for safety foods not properly date marked in walk-in cooler, some food products not properly covered or protected in dry storage and in the walk-in freezer unit and some food and non-food contact surfaces dirty in kitchen and prep areas.
