Meet the newest Tennessee football signees

A look at Wednesday's University of Tennessee football signees:

DL CHANDAVIAN BRADLEY (6-5, 215) Platte City, Mo. -- Bradley is a consensus four-star recruit who has been rated as high as the No. 59 overall player in the country by ESPN ... He is the No. 71 player according to 247Sports and the No. 73 player according to Rivals ... Bradley has been invited to play in the 2023 Under Armour All-America Game on Jan. 3 in Orlando ... He had 23 sacks, six forced fumbles and six pass breakups during his career at Platte County High and also compiled 12 catches for 401 yards.

OL AYDEN BUSSELL (6-5, 295) Mount Juliet -- Bussell is a consensus three-star recruit who helped lead the Mount Juliet Golden Bears to a 9-3 overall record and a region championship this past season ... He is the state's No. 16 prospect according to 247Sports ... The Bears rushed for 2,500 yards this past season and averaged 10.6 yards per carry when running in Bussell's direction ... He did not allow a sack in any of the past three seasons and has more than 150 career pancake blocks.

PK CHARLES CAMPBELL (5-9, 175) Jackson -- Campbell is a graduate transfer from Indiana University, where he ranks eighth in program history for career field goals made (37), ninth in extra points (68) and 14th in points scored (179) ... His five field goals of 50 yards or longer are second-most in Indiana history ... Campbell set an Outback Bowl record for the longest made field goal, drilling a 53-yarder in a loss to Ole Miss on Jan. 2, 2021 ... He converted the longest field goal in the Big Ten during both the 2020 (53 yards) and 2021 seasons (55 yards), and he was 39-of-51 on field goal tries for his Hoosiers career ... Campbell played high school at the University School of Jackson and was a Tennessee Mr. Football finalist as a senior in 2017.

LB ARION CARTER (6-1, 215) Smyrna -- Carter is a consensus four-star prospect and is rated by Rivals as the state's top recruit ... He is the nation's No. 5 linebacker according to Rivals and the No. 9 linebacker according to ESPN ... Carter has been invited to play in next month's All-American Bowl at the Alamodome in San Antonio ... Carter was Tennessee's Class 6A Mr. Football after racking up 92 tackles, six tackles for loss, three sacks, five passes defended, three forced fumbles and one interception during his senior season ... He also led Smyrna with 1,184 rushing yards on 185 carries and scored 19 touchdowns ... In his 30 career games, Carter had 3,302 all-purpose yards.

TE McCALLAN CASTLES (6-5, 233) South Lake Tahoe, Calif. -- Castles is practicing with the Vols after transferring from UC Davis, where he was a second-team, All-Big Sky performer this season after amassing 30 receptions for 347 yards and two touchdowns ... He was a consensus four-star prospect at South Tahoe High, where he had 102 catches for 2,207 yards and 27 scores in his career, and he spent his first two college seasons at Cal ... Castles graduated from UC Davis earlier this month with a degree in psychology.

DB CRISTIAN CONYER (6-2, 180) Bowling Green, Ky. -- Conyer is a Rivals four-star prospect who helped lead South Warren High School to the playoffs every season he was there, which included a 14-1 record his junior year that resulted in a Class 5A state championship ... Though projected to play defensive back for the Vols, he split time at receiver and cornerback at South Warren and amassed 18 catches for 224 yards as a junior ... Conyer was also a decorated sprinter and posted the school's second-fastest 100-meter dash time ever at 10.92 seconds.

TE ETHAN DAVIS (6-5, 228) Atlanta -- Davis is the nation's No. 96 overall prospect according to Rivals, which ranks him as the No. 3 tight end ... He had an impressive junior season for the Collins Hill Eagles, reeling in 61 receptions for 755 yards (12.4 yards per catch) and eight touchdowns, but he missed his senior year due to injury ... Davis also has been a basketball standout and holds the Collins Hill single-game record for points at 43, which he set this past February.

DL TREVOR DUNCAN (6-6, 285) Knoxville -- Duncan is a consensus three-star recruit and the state's No. 13 prospect, according to ESPN ... He compiled 24 tackles with a sack and a forced fumble while serving as Knox Catholic's team captain during his senior season ... As a junior, Hobbs recorded 61 tackles, nine TFLs and three sacks ... He grew up attending games at Neyland Stadium and is the son of Casey Duncan, who played football at Memphis and Murray State.

DB RICKEY GIBSON III (6-0, 175) Trussville, Ala. -- Gibson is a four-star prospect on the 247Sports composite rankings and a consensus top-25 player from the state of Alabama ... He had 40 tackles, 13 passes defended and four interceptions during his senior season and represented his state in the 2022 Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game ... As a junior, Gibson compiled 33 tackles, defended 10 passes and snagged three interceptions.

PK MAX GILBERT (6-1, 185) Memphis -- Gilbert is a five-star prospect according to Kohl's Kicking and made 45-of-46 extra-point attempts and six field-goal tries during his senior season at Lausanne Collegiate School ... He also punted 17 times this past season for a 42.2-yard average and had 57 of his 61 kickoffs result in touchbacks ... Gilbert made a 47-yard field goal this past season and made a 54-yarder as a junior.

DL CALEB HERRING (6-5, 215) Murfreesboro -- Herring is a consensus four-star prospect by all major recruiting services and the No. 1 player from Tennessee according to the 247Sports composite rankings ... He is a top-15 edge rusher in the country by all major recruiting outlets, rated as high as No. 5 by Rivals, and he is the nation's No. 75 player on 247Sports composite ... In his three seasons at Riverdale, Herring amassed 200 total tackles, 56 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, four pass breakups and three interceptions ... His older brother, Elijah, is a freshman linebacker for the Vols.

DL DAEVIN HOBBS (6-4, 285) Concord, N.C. -- Hobbs is the No. 1 prospect from the state of North Carolina according to 247Sports and Rivals, and he is four-star recruit by ESPN, Rivals and in the 247Sports composite rankings ... He has been selected to participate in the 2023 All-American Bowl next month at the Alamodome in San Antonio ... Hobbs played defensive end and tight end at Jay M. Robinson High School, compiling 22 tackles with 10 tackles for loss and three sacks as a senior while also tallying 13 catches for 283 yards and five touchdowns ... He is also a standout in basketball, averaging 14.7 points per game on the 2021 Class 2A state championship team.

QB NICO IAMALEAVA (6-6, 200) Long Beach, Cal. -- Iamaleava is a consensus five-star prospect who enrolled early and has been participating in Orange Bowl practices with the Vols ... He is the No. 2 overall prospect nationally according to Rivals and No. 3 according to 247Sports ... Iamaleava led Warren High School to a 9-2 record this past season by throwing for 1,726 yards and 25 touchdowns and adding 399 rushing yards and six scores ... He becomes the fourth highest-rated 247Sports signee in Tennessee history, trailing running back Bryce Brown, safety Eric Berry and defensive tackle Kahlil McKenzie.

OL LARRY JOHNSON III (6-7, 365) Savannah, Ga. -- Johnson is already practicing with Tennessee after arriving from Hutchinson Community College in Kansas ... He will have three years of eligibility with the Vols ... Johnson is the No. 2 junior-college offensive tackle according to the 247Sports composite rankings ... He played at Jenkins High School in Savannah and helped lead the Warriors to four consecutive trips to the AAA playoffs.

OL ANDREJ KARIC (6-6, 308) Southlake, Texas -- Karic was the No. 17 offensive tackle in the 2020 class according to 247Sports and began his career at Texas, where he appeared in 26 games and made five starts ... He played in all 12 games during the 2022 season and made three starts, including Big 12 games against Oklahoma State and TCU ... Karic was with the Longhorns for three seasons but has three years of eligibility remaining.

RB KHALIFA KEITH (6-1, 225) Birmingham -- Keith is a consensus three-star prospect who is the nation's No. 27 running back according to Rivals ... He carried 157 times for 950 yards and 11 touchdowns as a Parker High senior, and he represented his home state in the 2022 Alabama-Mississippi All-Star contest ... Keith's biggest season came as a junior, when he rushed 190 times for 1,877 yards and 28 touchdowns.

OL VYSEN LANG (6-4, 340) Pike Road, Ala. -- Lang is a consensus three-star prospect who is already in Knoxville practicing with the Vols. ... He is the No. 23 player in the state of Alabama according to 247Sports and helped lead Pike Road to a 14-0 season his junior year that culminated with the 2021 AHSAA 5A state championship ... The Patriots rushed for 60 touchdowns that season and averaged more than 300 rushing yards per game.

WR NATHAN LEACOCK (6-3, 200) Raleigh, N.C. -- Leacock, a consensus four-star prospect, helped Millbrook High School to a 13-2 record and its first regional final and state semifinal appearance in its history... He recorded a school-record 1,703 receiving yards along with 23 receiving touchdowns on 82 catches ... Leacock tallied 33 receiving touchdowns in his career, averaging 20.2 yards per contest and 81.4 yards a game.

DB JACK LUTTRELL (6-0, 180) Gainesville, Ga. -- Luttrell, who committed to the Vols in August 2021, is a consensus three-star prospect ... Known for his versatility, he compiled 850 yards receiving, 495 rushing and 247 passing throughout his high school career, while also amassing 1,061 kickoff return yards and 280 punt return yards ... As a defensive back, Luttrell tallied 211 career tackles, including 103 as a senior, when he helped Colquitt County to the 7A semifinals ... He had five career interceptions.

DB JORDAN MATTHEWS (6-2, 180) Baton Rouge, La. -- Matthews is a consensus four-star prospect who is the state of Louisiana's No. 9 recruit according to 247Sports ... He tallied three interceptions during his Woodlawn High career and has also blocked six extra points ... Matthews is also a track standout, clocking times of 10.66 seconds in the 100-meter dash and 21.29 in the 200 meters earlier this year at the Louisiana 5A state championship meet. ... His older brother, Josh, has 85 career receptions for 1,129 yards and nine touchdowns in three seasons with McNeese, and his father, Roshaun, is a former defensive end at LSU.

LB KEENAN PILI (6-3, 235) Provo, Utah -- Pili has anchored BYU's defense since 2020 and has served as a team captain the past two seasons ... He tied for second on the team in tackles this season, collecting 62 stops and five tackles for loss to go along with a forced fumble and a fumble recovery ... Pili had 72 tackles for BYU's 2020 team, which earned 11 victories and won the Boca Raton Bowl, where he was named the defensive MVP ... He earned his degree from BYU in exercise science.

DL NATHAN ROBINSON (6-6, 275) Greenbrier -- Robinson helped lead Greenbrier High School to the Class 4A state playoffs this past season but had his best statistical year as a junior, when he tallied 21 tackles for loss, including 19 sacks ... He is a consensus three-star prospect by all major recruiting services and is the state's No. 15 player according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

WR CAMERON SELDON (6-2, 220) Browns Store, Va. -- Seldon is a consensus four-star prospect and the top player in Virginia according to 247Sports ... ESPN rates him as the nation's No. 84 prospect overall ... As a senior, Seldon rushed for 551 yards and 11 touchdowns and also amassed 18 catches for 365 yards and five scores ... In the first round of the playoffs, he had six rushes for 122 yards and three touchdowns ... Seldon has Virginia state championships in the 100- and 200-meter dashes.

DB JOHN SLAUGHTER (6-2, 195) Clarksdale, Miss. -- Slaughter was a two-time captain at Southaven High and helped lead the Chargers to a 10-win season as a senior ... The consensus three-star prospect was named the 2022 Class 6A Defensive Player of the Year by the Mississippi Association of Coaches after recording more than 50 tackles and three interceptions ... Slaughter participated in the 2022 Alabama-Mississippi All-Star game and had an early interception ... He is already participating in bowl practices.

LB JALEN SMITH (6-1, 210) Grayson, Ga. -- Smith is a Rivals four-star prospect who helped Grayson High win Georgia's Class 7A state championship as a sophomore and then reached the semifinals in 2021 ... He amassed 154 total tackles, including 17 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, an interception and a fumble recovery as a senior after totaling 144 tackles, 12.5 TFLs and nine sacks as a junior in 14 games ... Smith finished his Grayson career with a school-record 434 tackles to go along with 30 TFLs, 18 sacks, three forced fumbles and an interception he returned for a touchdown.

WR NATE SPILLMAN (6-2, 190) Nashville -- Spillman, who was born in Sierra Leone before coming to the United States through a missionary orphanage program, helped lead Lipscomb Academy to consecutive Division II-AA state titles under former coach Trent Dilfer, who is now at UAB ... The consensus three-star prospect got on the recruiting map as a junior, when he collected 22 receptions for 348 yards and five touchdowns, including a 55-yard score in the state championship.

LB JEREMIAH TELANDER (6-2, 215) Gainesville, Ga. -- Telander helped lead Gainesville High to a 14-1 record and an appearance in the Georgia Class 6A state championship contest, where he racked up 13 tackles, four tackles for loss, two sacks and blocked two extra points ... He is a four-star recruit according to ESPN, which rates him as the No. 16 linebacker nationally ... As a senior, Telander recorded 112 tackles, 25 tackles for loss, 14 sacks, five forced fumbles and one interception ... He had 137 tackles, 33 TFLs, three sacks and intercepted three passes as a junior ... His father, Steve Telander, played college football at UMass before getting into coaching and spending time as an assistant at Missouri, Bowling Green, UTEP and UMass.

OL SHAMURAD UMAROV (6-7, 340) Alpharetta, Ga. -- Umarov is a four-star recruit and the No. 281 rated player nationally on the 247Sports composite rankings ... He has been selected to play in next month's All-American Bowl at the Alamodome in San Antonio ... Umarov also threw shot put for Denmark High's track & field team, and he arrived in Knoxville earlier this month and is already participating in bowl practices.

DL TYREE WEATHERSBY (6-5, 250) Douglasville, Ga. -- Weathersby is a four-star prospect on the 247Sports composite rankings and helped lead New Manchester High to consecutive Class 5A state playoff appearances during his career ... He had 61 total tackles as a senior with 16 tackles for loss and seven sacks, and that followed a junior year in which he collected 67 tackles, six sacks and two forced fumbles despite playing in just seven games.
