Tennessee senior safety Trevon Flowers announced Tuesday afternoon that he would use the NCAA's extra year of eligibility that was implemented at the outbreak of the coronavirus and will return to the Volunteers for the 2022 season.
The 5-foot-11, 200-pounder from Atlanta finished this season with 82 tackles, which ranked third on the team, and also amassed two interceptions and a sack. His first interception marked the first that Ole Miss quarterback Matt Corral threw this season, while his second occurred in last Thursday's Music City Bowl loss to Purdue.
"The 2021 season has definitely been one to remember," Flowers posted on social media. "My brothers and I have changed the culture tremendously. Even though we might not have ended the way we wanted, I couldn't ask for a better group of guys.
