Chattanooga high school teacher suspended without pay pending investigation into alleged inappropriate conduct

A Central High School teacher has been suspended without pay pending an investigation into alleged inappropriate conduct, Hamilton County school officials said in an email Friday.

Casey McGrath's suspension began March 31, district spokesperson Steve Doremus said in an email.

Doremus said the district is closed for Good Friday and has no further information at this time.

McGrath has been teaching 10th grade geometry at Central High since 2020, according to the school's website. She was recognized as teacher of the month in October 2021.
