Authorities seek Cleveland, Tennessee, man missing since March 30

Bradley County authorities are looking for a 32-year-old Cleveland, Tennessee, man missing since March 30.

Tyler S. Schroeder was last seen that day in Cleveland, and investigators determined the last ping on his cellphone was on March 31, also in Cleveland, according to a statement by the Bradley County Sheriff's Office. A "ping" refers to the signal a phone company can use to gain location information from a network cellphone.

Schroeder is described as being white and 5 feet, 7 inches tall, 180 pounds. A photo provided by Bradley authorities shows him with a shaved head and dark beard, according to the statement released Tuesday.

Schroeder was reported missing April 22, department spokesman Paul Allen said Wednesday in an email.

He was living with a nonrelative roommate at a residence on J Mack Circle, Allen said.

"This is close to South Lee Highway and the APD-40 bypass," Allen said. "When he does leave, he usually travels by bicycle."

J Mack Circle is the road through a small subdivision in South Cleveland made up of a mix of single-family homes and duplexes in the area of Blythewood Road and Pleasant Grove Place.

Allen said Schroeder's roommate last saw him March 30, and there have been no other successful cellphone pings since March 31.

The investigation is ongoing, and the circumstances of Schroeder's disappearance remain unknown, Allen said.

Investigators have not ruled out or found reason to suspect foul play so far, he said.
