One person died after a Wednesday night crash on Hixson Pike, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
Hamilton County Sheriff’s deputies arrived at the 7300 block of Hixson Pike at 7 p.m. to find an unresponsive motorcycle rider. Emergency services later arrived and pronounced the rider dead at the scene, authorities said.
It was determined through investigation that a pickup truck pulling a camping trailer was turning left into a storage facility as the motorcycle was traveling south on Hixson Pike, resulting in the motorcycle colliding into the rear of the camping trailer.
Authorities have not released the name and age of the deceased person.
