One man died in a Saturday night fire at a Hixson mobile home park, according to a news release from the Chattanooga Fire Department.
Fire crews responded to the 5400 block of Dayton Boulevard at Smitty's Park shortly before 11 p.m. on reports of a residential fire. When crews arrived, they found heavy smoke and flames coming through the windows of a mobile home, authorities said.
Multiple fire crews worked to extinguish the fire after one deceased man was located at the scene. Authorities have not released his name or age to the public.
An investigation is underway.
