The Chattanooga area experienced high winds and some storm damage Friday as a strong weather system moved through, causing several power outages and road closures.
Authorities in Bradley, Bledsoe, Marion and Sequatchie counties said there were reports of trees and power lines down, but no injuries were reported.
Debris had been reported on the roadway on Highway 153 north near the Chickamauga Dam in Chattanooga, blocking one lane, as well as debris on Interstate 24 in Marion County.

According to EPB, there were about 8,660 outages in the Chattanooga area at the outset of the storms, but that number swelled to about 11,000 as crews battled continuing high winds in the area. EPB crews worked overnight restoring power, and as of 9:37 p.m. Saturday, about 1,500 customers remained without power, according to the latest news release.
More than 500 utility workers have been deployed to restore power and repair significant and widespread damage. Repair efforts to reach full restoration will continue throughout the weekend, the release stated.
