A man accused of stabbing a Family Dollar clerk to death Thursday on Brainerd Road now faces a murder charge.
Patrick Cunningham, 33, was arrested and charged Thursday with first-degree murder and especially aggravated robbery, court records show.
Police received reports of a female clerk stabbed at the store around 9 a.m. Thursday, according to a police report, and heard the suspect was heading to a nearby liquor store.
