Four more candidates have entered the race to chair the Tennessee Democratic Party.

Starting in January, the state Democratic Party will begin reorganizing and choosing new leadership. Seven candidates have tossed their names into the ring following current party chair Hendrell Remus’ announcement that he would be stepping down at the end of his term.

Rachel Campbell, chair of the Hamilton County Democratic Party, announced her campaign in November, along with state House Reps. Gloria Johnson, D-Knoxville, and Vincent Dixie, D-Nashville.
