Changes are coming to the Erlanger Medical Mall, with the addition of Dr. Rachel Murray to its dermatology office, which will reopen downtown Oct. 1.

Murray has roots in the Scenic City, and she said in a phone interview she’d always heard of Erlanger due to its community reputation.

“When I heard that there was a need for a dermatologist in the clinic downtown, I was really excited to be a part of something that I could make a difference in,” she said in a phone interview. “I think we can do a lot of good serving the community here.”

She said the downtown clinic will allow for integration among various specialty providers who can access patient records and communicate via an electronic medical system, providing better patient care.

Johnny Edwards, the Erlanger medical group director, said in an emailed statement that the dermatology team is excited to have Murray join.
