Jason Burgin’s Broken Hearts Ball, scheduled Feb. 8 in Dalton, Georgia, follows a breakup, but it’s no pity party. The host says it’s a chance to mix and mingle and celebrate being single for anyone down on their dating luck.

“It’s an anti-Valentine’s party,” he says. “My goal is for it to be the Super Bowl of singles events.”

A Realtor known for going big with his advertising budget, Burgin planned a blowout client appreciation party to coincide with his 50th birthday last September. He lined up Britney Spears, Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley impersonators, a troupe of capuchin monkeys, a gourmet cotton candy vendor and a 360-degree camera like those seen on celebrity red carpets.

“The day before I had to go pick up (fake) Britney Spears, my then-girlfriend and I broke up,” he says.
