The Chattanooga-based team behind Broadview, a $22 million condo development across South Broad Street from the new Chattanooga Lookouts stadium under construction, ceremonially broke ground Monday morning.

“It’s always a relief to get to this point. It’s a lot of fun and provides a big boost to the team when we get to go public,” Matt McGauley, president and CEO of FTC Development, said in an interview. “Now, we get to actually create the physical space itself.”

The four-story, 43-unit luxury condo building will be under construction at the corner of 26th and Cowart streets beginning in July.

Developers and real estate partners plan to begin selling the units shortly after the stadium opens next spring for the minor league baseball team’s 2026 season. They plan to finish the project in July 2026.

Broadview will be among the first developments to begin construction in a 470-acre special tax district where new city property tax revenue will help pay back private loans obtained by the Lookouts and stadium site landowner Perimeter Properties.
