Chattanooga fitness company Echelon on Wednesday launched an artificial intelligence-based initiative with Amazon Web Services. Echelon said the initiative will deliver more personalized workout experiences.

Called Echelon Intelligence, it combines the company’s array of fitness content with Amazon’s advanced AI and machine learning capabilities to create uniquely tailored workout plans for each user, according to Echelon.

“If you think about Echelon, we’re democratizing fitness,” John Santo, the company’s chief product/technology officer, said in a phone interview. “At Echelon, we’ve always believed that personalization is key to helping our members achieve their fitness goals.”
