Chattanooga’s Hotel Chalet was ranked 14th in the world for its uniqueness by TripAdvisor in the company’s 2025 Best of the Best list.

The hotel, in the Chattanooga Choo Choo, is the only location in North America to make the list. The destination is listed among resorts like Giraffe Manor in Kenya, where long-necked animals stretch through open second floor windows, and Anantara Golden Triangle in Thailand, where bubble rooms allow visitors to watch elephants mosey through the bamboo forest.

Opening in 2023, a stay at the Hotel Chalet allows visitors to sleep in renovated Choo Choo passenger rail cars.
