Here are four surprise outcomes that stand out following last week’s prep football games across Georgia and Tennessee:

› Blue Tornado show out for Volunteer State: One of California’s premier high school football programs was met by a McCallie team determined to prove it can compete at the highest level.

Mission Viejo, the nation’s sixth-ranked team, gave up 203 rushing yards in a 25-14 loss at McCallie, prompting head coach Joel Bradford to proclaim that his Blue Tornado offensive line is the “best in the country.”

With five offensive linemen and two blocking tight ends, the Blue Tornado set the tone up front, led by senior right guard Moussa Seck (6-5, 330) whose recruiting interest could gain major steam while already holding offers from No. 16 Georgia Tech and No. 18 Vanderbilt, among others.

Joining Seck up front are tight ends Roman Zahrobsky (6-0, 185) and Jacob Lamontagne (6-1, 240), left tackle Titus Tervanen (6-4, 285), left guard Jaden-Hudgins Key (6-2, 260), center Caden Lockhart (6-1, 260) and right tackle Daniel Cepicky (6-5, 310).
