All Hamilton County school board meetings could be held over two days each month under a proposed change meant to streamline the process.

Under the proposal, school board meetings would be condensed to one week a month. The board’s agenda session would be held at 6 p.m. Monday, while the voting meeting would be held at the same time Thursday.

The 4:30 p.m. time slot on both days would be held, as needed, for committee meetings.

The changes were presented by the district’s chief strategy officer, Shannon Moody, at Monday’s Policy Committee meeting. Moody said the separate meeting days would allow people to engage in the public meeting without having it being so early.
