There are two days of early voting remaining for the primary election in Hamilton County. Election day is May 5.
Voters can cast early ballots through Thursday at six locations for Republican and Democratic primaries for county positions like mayor, County Commission, school board and some court races.
Where can you go to vote early this week?
What is required to vote?
— Residents are required to have a photo ID issued by the state of Tennessee or the federal government to vote.
— Ballot applications, which voters are required to complete, indicate which party’s primary the individual is choosing to vote in. The applications are not new and have always required a signature, Scott Allen, the Hamilton County administrator of elections, said in an emailed statement. This year, new primary-specific warning language has been added to all ballot applications as part of an advisory from the State Division of Elections, Allen said in the same statement.
