Useful information for seniors going to see “The Odyssey.”

1. Go during weekdays if possible.

2. Go early as [downtown] parking could present an issue. Parking garage next door was full when we went, and we wound up parking on the street, which turned out to be a good thing.

3. Take a coat. This is not an exaggeration. I wore a blouse with rolled-up sleeves, but it still wasn’t enough to keep me warm even when unrolled. I also wore capri pants, which weren’t enough either. Wear long pants.

My son went out to my car and brought back an afghan I always keep in my car. Had it not been for that afghan, I don’t think I could have stayed for the latter part of the movie, and it is a movie you don’t want to miss any part of.
