Scottie Scheffler. Wow, he walked away from the field in the fist of three PGA playoff events. He won by eight shots, becoming one of a handful of players with multiple runaway wins by at least eight shots. He also became just the third PGA player to have multiple wins in five or more consecutive seasons. The others are one-name all-timers in Phil, who did it six straight seasons, and Tiger, who had two five-year runs of multiple wins.
Optimism. Even in dark times in life, there are reasons to believe. Did you know that Walt Disney tried more than 300 animations before finding Mickey Mouse. Colonel (should be Kernel) Sanders was rejected by more than 1,000 people on his original recipe to fry chicken. The Beatles were told “Thanks, but no thanks” by four recording studios before landing a deal. Heck, Steven Spielberg was denied by three film schools before finally getting in.
