A Hamilton County judge reduced the bond for two men accused of fatally shooting an 18-year-old on Jackson Avenue in December after a witness’s credibility was questioned.
Terrance Brewer Jr., 23, and Milik Woodley, 22, were charged with second-degree murder, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment after police found Wallace Milam, 18, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the street.
On the evening of Dec. 19, flashes of rifle and pistol gunfire erupted after a gun exchange went wrong, according to Milam’s friend, high school student Jaden Rue.
In court, he recounted the night’s events and narrated surveillance video that captured the teens’ arrival, a portion of the shooting and Milam’s wounded escape into the street, where he stumbled and fell to his knees while errant bullets kicked up dust clouds around him.

Before the shooting, Milam had asked Rue to tag along and hold a .22 caliber rifle for the exchange, Rue testified. The two traveled to the meetup via a rideshare service. The driver allegedly never noticed the rifle, hidden in Rue’s pant leg, according to testimony Tuesday. The pair met the others in the front yard, and then moved to the back, where Rue gave the rifle to Brewer after Milam OK’d it, Rue testified.
