Starting September 13, Ridgeview Baptist on Brainerd Road will become The Point Church at Brainerd.

Red Bank Baptist Church absorbed the church at 6 North Moore Road into its family of churches, called The Point, said Sam Greer, senior pastor at the Red Bank campus.

“The congregation there were, maybe, median age was 80, and they were just wanting to pass on the baton to a younger congregation. So they had a vote, we had a vote, to kind of merge,” Greer said.

This is not the first merger Red Bank Baptist has participated in — in 2018, Red Bank acquired with Signal Mountain Baptist Church, and The Point Church at Signal was born.
