Officials are asking Chattanooga area residents to be aware of a scam involving several individuals who claim they are selling books as a fundraiser for T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital, said hospital spokeswoman Jennifer Homa.
Two incidents have been reported this week. There is currently no door-to-door campaign to raise money for the hospital, Homa said.
Anyone who encounters these people is asked to contact the hospital’s development office at 423-778-6600.
The individuals may claim they are selling books or other items on behalf of the children’s hospital.
