Erlanger employees won’t get across-the-board raises this year, but 1,100 bedside nurses will get a pay increase, according to a message from the hospital’s leadership.
According to a transcript of a video message posted on Monday to the hospital’s internal Web site, Erlanger President and CEO Jim Brexler also emphasized that employee health benefits would not be cut in the upcoming fiscal year, which begins July 1.
The raises for some nurses are part of an ongoing process to adjust pay for nurses and other workforce members who make less than market averages, starting with bedside nurses who are “farthest out of market in compensation,” Mr. Brexler said in the video.
No senior level executive will receive a cost-of-living pay increase or a market adjustment in their pay, nor will any get bonuses, until about one-fifth of the hospital’s other employees whose pay is “not within market range” get a pay increase, Mr. Brexler said.
