A man robbed at gunpoint this morning led police straight to who he alleges committed the crime: his cousin.
Elijah Smith was arrested and charged this morning with aggravated robbery following an incident where he allegedly robbed his cousin, Marty Turley, according to Chattanooga police.
Mr. Smith told police he approached Mr. Turley, asking for money, and when Mr. Turley refused, Mr. Smith pulled a gun and demanded his money, said Sgt. Jerri Weary, a Chattanooga Police Department spokeswoman.
Mr. Turley handed over $20 and Mr. Smith fled on foot down 10th Avenue, Sgt. Weary said. Mr. Smith was later found at 2906 E. 32nd St., she said.
