To my fellow Tennesseans, I would like to encourage you to purchase specialty license plates to support The Elephant Sanctuary at Hohenwald, Tennessee.

This sanctuary allows elephants to be … well … elephants. These are former elephants that have either preformed or been on display all their lives.

How much does the plate cost? The total cost is $61.50 for a one-year registration. This includes the standard specialty plate fee, state fees and a $26.50 donation to The Elephant Sanctuary. The $26.50 portion is tax-deductible.

The sanctuary needs 1,000 preorders before production.
