A Lookout Mountain couple was arrested at their home, a move their attorney has called outrageous, after several teenagers, including McCallie School boarding students, were found intoxicated during a party.

William Clee Haisten and Marcella Caruso Haisten, both 47, face reckless endangerment and contributing to the delinquency of a minor charges, according to an affidavit in their case.

“It’s absolutely outrageous,” their attorney, Bryan Hoss, said by phone.

Their 16-year-old son held the party on the evening of Feb. 22, and two McCallie School boys were transported to Children’s Hospital at Erlanger from the party, according to the affidavit.

The Haistens not only didn’t supply any alcohol but clearly told their son there would be no drinking at this get-together, Hoss said.
