After a year where mud and muck stole the show, Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival organizers want to rebound in 2026.

They hope to bounce back this month by revamping post-flood campgrounds, reexamining scheduling and reconfiguring stage setup. However, public concerns about Bonnaroo’s readiness for weather linger after organizers canceled the 2025 event due to severe rain and mud after one day of music.

Held in Great Stage Park in Manchester, Tennessee, the event began Thursday and continues through Sunday. Fans warily set their sights on an unabridged weekend of festivities in Coffee County.

“I can’t even begin to explain the type of experience you have at Bonnaroo,” said Ella Helms, a Manchester native and two-time Bonnaroo attendee. “I just hope everything goes well.”
