Lookouts top Huntsville in to win series

Jesus Castillo allowed four hits and one run over seven innings in another stellar start as Chattanooga beat Huntsville 4-2 to clinch the series and improve to 10-10.

Castillo lowered his season ERA to 1.48 for the Lookouts, who still trail Tennessee (15-5) and Huntsville (11-9) in the Southern League's North Division but now host the Smokies.

Chattanooga took a 1-0 lead in the first inning when Dee Gordon singled to center, advanced to third on Elian Herrera's single to left and scored when Andrew Lambo hit into a double play. Herrera hit one-out triple to right in the third that was followed by Lambo's double to center, which made it 2-0.

Scott Van Slyke put the Lookouts up 3-1 in the sixth with an RBI triple to center, and Gordon made it 4-1 in the ninth when his single to center scored Jessie Mier.

Game one of a five-game series against Tennessee at AT&T Field is tonight at 7:15.

Timothy Sexton (1-0, 5.63) is scheduled to start for the Lookouts, with Andrew Cashner (1-1, 3.33) scheduled for the Smokies.
