Standard and Poor’s Ratings Services has given Hamilton County’s 2009 general obligation bonds a AAA rating, the highest the agency gives, County Mayor Claude Ramsey said this morning.
The county formerly had an AA+ rating. This is the first time the agency has rated the county AAA.
Mr. Ramsey read a news release from Standard and Poor’s that says the county has a “stable outlook” which led to an expectation of “economic and financial stability."
