Country acts added to Riverbend lineup

Country music singer Billy Currington will headline the final Friday of Riverbend, performing June 18 on the Coca-Cola Stage, according to Joe "Dixie" Fuller, the festival's talent and production coordinator.

Also announced are David Nail, who will perform on the Bud Light Stage June 16, and Ray Wiley Hubbard, who will headline on the Tennessee Valley Credit Union Stage June 12, according to Mr. Fuller.

Mr. Currington has recorded three albums that have produced eight hit singles since signing with Mercury Records in 2003. He has charted three No. 1 hits with "Must Be Doin' Something' Right," "Good Directions" and "People Are Crazy." He also had a hit duet with Shania Twain on "Party's for Two."

Mr. Nail's first Top 10 country music hit was "Red Light," released last year. He had a minor hit before that with a cover of Train's "I'm About to Come Alive."

Mr. Hubbard is considered a veteran on the Texas music scene, where he hosts a Tuesday night radio show called "Roots & Branches."

Previously announced performers are Sheryl Crow, Darius Rucker, George Clinton and Parliament-Funkadelic, the Charlie Daniels Band, The Whigs, Carmine Appice's Slamm, Dan Baird and Drivin' 'n' Cryin'.
