A real "Karate Kid" defends himself while in Orlando on senior trip. Rick Hall from Rick Hall's TaekwonDo Plus on Hixson Pike tells of a recent student who used the skills he had gained while working with Mr. Hall over the last 10 years.
The student, all 5 foot 7 and 145 pounds, got separated from his group and three assailants jumped him on the street as he was headed back to the hotel. His training and instincts kicked in and he kept them busy until they decided to go elsewhere for their victim on this night.
"Those guys did not know they were messing with a third-degree black belt," the student's dad said.
Mr. Hall has been in the Hixson area for 25 years helping folks of all ages with martial arts programs. Keep it up, Rick.
